Just wanted to say hi to everyone here! :3

Now you’re probably wondering “What is an OUYA?”. Well i’m glad you asked people who clicked my post. An OUYA basically is an android gaming console. Right now it has 845 games counting the ones in the Marketplace. The Marketplace is growing day by day. One of the features is that every game that you purchase with money, there is always a free to play demo you can try before you buy the full version.
Here is the console itself:

As you can see it is extremely small. This makes it portable and for a 99$ price tag, it’s worth the money. It comes with the console, a wireless controller, batteries for controller, power adapter and a HDMI cable. When using the HDMI input, this console can play at 1080 pixels. On the back of the console there is a usb 2.0 port for expandable storage or it can be used for usb controllers. It is compatible with some usb hubs to expand the usb ports. This console like other android consoles do not compare with the Xbox 360, playstation 3, or any next generation consoles. This kind of console tries to aim for a gaming experience for only little money.

This post will be based off of this wonderful video! I have watched this many times over and quite often refer to it in times of need, such as now.
I just finished reading Siege and Storm by Leigh Bardugo about thirty minutes ago. This is the second book in the Grisha Trilogy, and it is probably one of the best sequels I have ever read. In fact, this entire series is one of the best fantasy trilogies I have ever read. ever. I would put this trilogy up there with The Inheritance Cycle by Christopher Paulini. It’s amazing.
But where does this leave me? Well, it leaves me on this quiet Sunday afternoon, in quite a bit of shock. First of all, the ending to the book has me saying things like: JUST TAKE MY DNA AND GIVE ME THE BOOK! It has me looking up things on Youtube and melting because I’m now finding references to this series in every song ever written.
It leaves me in The Aftershock.
I want the third book, but I can guarantee you I don’t want this trilogy to end. So while I’m inwardly dying to get my hands on Ruin and Rising, the said third book, at the same time I don’t want it because then the series will be over. I also don’t want the third book because I am VERY afraid as to what might go down with the Love… Pentagon? Seriously, if you’ve read this series, you understand. THE VILLAIN IS A LOVE INTEREST. It sound absurd, I know, but it’s so oddly romantic, yet there are two/possibly three other contenders. I’m telling you, Bardugo is killing me right now. Like, she took my heart out of my chest, ripped it into a bunch of tiny pieces, and put it back. Wait… apparently Leigh Bardugo is now Regina from OUAT. Oh dear…
If none of that above made sense to you, then congrats! You have officially witnessed someone going through The Aftershock. I probably should be writing my novel for Camp NaNoWriMo right now or practicing piano, but noooo. My shredded heart refuses to move on and insists that I sit here writing this rambly mess.
Goodreads has been a victim of my fangirling several times. In fact, if you want a little taste, just go look at my Insurgent Book Review(Warning: SPOILERS!). But at this point in time, I cannot find it in myself to write a five thousand word book review that is just me fangirling because I’m fangirling too hard. Let me explain: I am such a state of excitement that trying to write out my thoughts about the plot and all the underlying themes and writing devices would just leave me a frustrated fangirl because it would end up being OMG I WANT THIS CHARACTER TO BE WITH THIS CHARACTER AND THEY’RE PERF FOR EACH OTHER AND OMG I CAN’T EVEN.
See?
…
The Aftershock.
Hello, everyone! I’m going to go out on a whim here and assume that a lot of people scratched their heads at that title. I feel like certain communities, especially the Booktube community, talk about this event all the time, but in others it’s unheard of. So, as a participant of this lovely event, I’m going to explain to you what the corn NaNoWriMo is!
So, first of all, ‘NaNoWriMo’ is simply a shorter way of saying ‘National Novel Writing Month'(See why we shorten it?). Traditionally, this month is November. The whole goal of NaNoWriMo is to write a 50,000 word novel in a month by writing approximately 1,667 words a day. Seems tough, doesn’t it? Last year, over 300,000 people signed up to write a novel, and only about 41,940 writers managed to hit the 50k word count goal. I would like to proudly admit I was one of those who hit 50k, unlike others. And yes, I will brag about it shamelessly.
So, you’re probably wondering, how does this apply to me right now? Obviously, it’s not November! Well, along with the huge event in November, the creators over at NaNoWriMo also host CAMP NaNoWriMo, which is obviously for the summer months. They hold a one month event in April and July. Unlike in November, you can actually change your word count goal to as low as 10,000 words. Overall, their goal for the Camp is to get you writing in some form or fashion during the summer. Even though I wasn’t out of school yet, I still participated in the April Camp. I set my goal to 20k words… and obviously made it!
Now that I’ve explained NaNoWriMo to you, you can officially say that you’re no longer in the dark! And yes, I highly recommend going out and starting to write a novel. Because, guess what!? You haven’t missed out on the fun yet this month! Camp NaNoWriMo is still taking applicants! Did I forget to mention that all of this is FREE? Both NaNoWriMo and Camp NaNoWriMo have websites where you can track your word count day by day, meet other writers, and get encouragement from published authors! Their are Twitter word sprints and Youtube Simulcast Write-Ins. And Camp NaNoWriMo just adds even more! You can join a Cabin, which consists of 2 to 11 other writers! I have found the Cabin to be a great source of encouragement and advice.
Come on, what are you waiting for? The world needs to hear your story! If you don’t write it, nobody else will. If you would like more information about NaNoWriMo, check out nanowrimo.org. If you would like to join the huge writing party that is Camp NaNoWriMo, sign up and make an account on campnanowrimo.org. And if you’re already a part of Camp, then what are you still doing here? Get to writing! As for me, I should probably stop procrastinating writing a sad scene by writing this. Talk to ya later!
